I'm afraid the evidence is as plain as the noses on our faces and we are not seeing it. We are calling it "Global Warming" and it is much more serious than this. We have close to one-sixth of our waters, lands, air, poisoned from the various toxins we have spewed into the environment. Our scientists compare current conditions to known conditions of the past and think that these environmental phenomena are part of a cycle that occurs every so many thousands of years, while others are saying we have entered a new era of man's destruction of the planet.
When I look at the images on the walls of dead civilizations I find visual references to sexual activities like we have going on today. The varieties of sexual behavior have created much illness and disease because we have been putting bodily fluids in places they don't belong and rubbing ourselves in places and on things not originally intended for sex. Our demand for explosive orgasms has led us into wrong practices and we try to justify them in a variety of ways. The historical evidence suggests that when a civilization went into sexual practices other than penis-vagina that civilization went down the tubes. Cataclysm or starvation from lack of crops or murderous conquest by some other blood thirsty group end that civilization.
My evidence says that God really is real, Jesus really is real, his rules for living are real, and the last time he got sick and mad at us he destroyed almost everyone by drowning. But he felt bad and said next time he would destroy the world by fire. Makes sense. Only by burning, fire, can the chemistry of stuff be changed. Water doesn't do it. To kill off every bad thing we have given birth to he is going to have to burn it all. And of course, destroy all of us this time. (Well he's got to; our bodies are so contaminated and automatic -taught to do a lot of wrong things- that he doesn't dare let any of us escape to spread more disease and death.)
Now, everybody wants to jump up and scream it is a lie: God isn't real, the guy talking just wants more money in the false hope collection plate, etc. But this is part of the twisted beauty of well-crafted lie. We've been being lied to since we were born. Born into a sick world where animals eat animals, people murder people, mothers and fathers do bad things to children (the list goes on and on).
Long story short: I think we are witnessing the beginning of the burning. God does things slowly sometimes, giving people time to wake up, come to their senses, regret what they've done, and come to him to be changed. He's really very kind about this. He really doesn't want anyone to die. We are going to die anyway. Every one of us. But this death is just the body, our robot transport. Afterward, when our conscious awareness meets God, that's the time of either the beginning of our happy eternal state of being or the time of our "second death." This is where we are forced into absolute darkness and great pressure like in a black hole, all alone and paralyzed in all the pain, anguish, agony, we have ever caused others. Whatever pains they felt, we will feel.
That's bad news. And we reject it, don't want to believe it, because we want to be in control. We don't want some God telling us what we are to do. Problem is, he made us. He owns us. We don't own ourselves; we just think we do. And we have an ever-present sentient evil out there goading us into believing every possible kind of lie in order to keep us away from the true, kind God who offers real joy freely to everyone. Evil hates God because Evil couldn't have its own way and it doesn't want to be some servant slave to God.
Our "unbelief" keeps us from the truth and real life.
